I compare my grass to my neighbors…literally. I know it’s not right, but I do it daily. And I know what you’re thinking, but the grass IS actually greener on the other side.
“He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:8
After talking to my lawn care professional, he told me that the reason my grass isn’t greener is because I don’t water it enough. He even took a sample of our soil to compare with our neighbors, and sure enough that’s what made all the difference. We must stop focusing on what we can see, and water what’s most important beneath the surface.
